Sponsorship in CoDA
Sponsorship is a meaningful part of recovery in Co-Dependents Anonymous. Working with a sponsor helps us grow through the Twelve Steps, build healthy relationships, and receive guidance from someone who has walked this path before us. When we complete the Steps, we give back by sponsoring others — a simple and powerful way to support the Fellowship.
If you’re looking for a sponsor or exploring what sponsorship means, the resources below can help.
How Do I Find a Sponsor?
Finding a sponsor is a personal experience, and everyone approaches it in a slightly different way. There is no “right” way, only the way that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
Below are short videos created by the ANCoR Outreach Team that answer common questions about sponsorship:
Video Topics:
- What do I do now?
- How do I start?
- What do I look for?
- Do I keep asking until someone says yes?
- Where can I learn more?
These videos have been brought to you by the ANCoR Outreach Team and its volunteers. In accordance with CoDA traditions, anonymity is maintained in these videos.
If you have questions or would like to submit your own sponsorship inquiry, please email us at outreach.coda.intergroup@gmail.com.
